Wine Cork Ideas – Wine Cork Dart Board

Ah, the age-old question:

What to do with wine cork collections?

Usually followed by: Wait, why do I have so many? Who drank all that wine? Do I have a problem?

The very funny and very strange Gia at Mayor Gia mused today on what to do with her wine corks. I promised to show her what we did with some of ours.

With the rest we built a second home.

Behold, the wine cork dart board! Bunch o’ corks, dart board box and a hot glue gun. Done.

Very nice. I don’t drink wine. However, I was thinking of making an igloo out out my used water bottles, but you know what they say: those who live in plastic houses…

Love it. I once threw out my husbands collection of corks b/c I thought they were garbage & even tho I’m pretty sure he never intended to do anything w/ them other than let them collect dust in my house, he has never forgiven me. Now, I even want them back.

I heard it is leave a little bit of wine in a glass somewhere, and the fruit flies will all gather there and drown. In our experience, they just hover around us.
