Name a Movie in my Next Novel!
It’s time for me to pick something in the upcoming Kilty Secrets for you to name!
I’ve been planning to have the big finale of this novel take place on a jungle movie set. So what’s the name of the movie they’re filming? You pick it!
It could be a war movie, a Predator-type movie, Indiana Jones-type action adventure, Romancing the Stone type… anything that would require a jungle movie set.

THE MAGICATORY‘S NEW COVER AND SALE .99c for a limited time
FYI – The middle-grade novel I wrote for my nieces has a new cover and is on sale now for 99c (usually $2.99). Wanted a cover that was a little more “today” so this one is sort of Harry Potterish.
For fans of Harry Potter, Narnia and Percy Jackson – The Magicatory is where fantasy, science, history and mythology meet!
Brian, Anna, Marc and Cecily stumble into a wizard’s spell and are swept to the Magicatory, the magical factory / laboratory where everything is made and all mythical creatures and extinct animals live. Too bad they picked a lousy time to visit.
A mysterious girl and a horde of goblins is planning an attack, one of the shape-shifting mages has been kidnapped, and a crazed dodo bird is on the loose. With dragons, pegacorns, phoenixes and other mythological creatures at every turn, the lost siblings have to figure out how to use their new superpowers before the multiverse is destroyed and they can never return to Earth!
Sale ends on the 21st so grab it cheap while it’s on sale!

I think you should use the movie Congo in your next book. It was exciting and unexpected.
The African Queen or the Jungle Book (live action) would be great in your book!
I would choose “The Gods Must Be Crazy”. It was funny and philosophical at the same time!
Tarzan’s Son Takes A Wife
(Made up title)
Stalk – a shape shifter movie about a panther finding his mate.
I’m thinking a funny movie called “Monkeyshines” about a couple who adopts a monkey and then decides to return him to the jungle.
How about Queen of the Jungle?
Highlands Hijinks
Into the Green
Nightmare on the Iguana moon
Topic Thunder
Jumangi (spelled wrong but the one with Robin Williams)
King Kong
Jumangi; Into the Jungle
The Tiger’s Cry
Captured: a movie about two ecologist who get captured for ransom by guerrilla fighters. You could make it a dark comedy by making the guerrilla fighters goofy wannabe guerrillas.
First thing to come to mind, Romancing the Stone.
Sweltering Lust or Amazon Death Step. I lived in the jungle for 3 weeks. Besides the literally hundreds of things that could kill you, the sweltering heat is it’s own entity. I went there for a girl but it was too hot to actually get romantic. Amazon Death Step is what they call it when tourists take that first step off a marked trail. You get lost that easy.
Kong
The Rundown
Gorillas in the Mist
The legend of Tarzan
Congo
The Legend of Tarzan told from Cheetah’s view.
I think that you should choose a Defenders of the Galaxy movie set. It is a hilarious movie and could fit any situation.
Jurassic World
It was filmed in Costa Rica.
Tabu Predator
This is a really old one. Tarzan the Ape Man
The Jungle Nymph
Janet of the Jungle
Lifevine 911
A comedy…. A Reptile Dysfunction. (I am giggling even as I type this!)
The African Queen(s)
Monkey Business. Or Circus Monkeys. A stressed-out circus worker helps a homesick monkey run away back to the jungle.
If there are any dogs in the book, I suggest Raiders of the Lost Bark.
Jungle Secret’s?
Arachnaphobia…the movie is about a jungle spider that accidentally gets shipped to the US where it proceeds to “populate” a barn. The spider is poisonous and kills a lot of people.
I think The Craft would be cool to use.
Movie Title suggestion…The Monkey’s Curse…an Indiana Jones type adventure maybe with a hint of romance intertwined. It could focus on the curse itself, or it could focus on the object, a monkey shaped ivory idol they accidentally stumble onto while trekking through the jungle.
The Neverending Story (I loved that movie!)
A many one of the Alien movies with Sigourney Weaver or something from the Fast and Furious franchise!!
I would pick The Island of Dr. Moreau or Sheena.
Indiana Jones type story: Looking for The Fabled Stone
They have to explore the jungle to find an Emerald that has mystical properties.
Love in the Congo
I think the movie should be a thriller involving a curse that is in the jungle that ends up infecting researchers and turning them into zombies and the movie title should be called “Safari Myth.”
Jungle Kilt or Kilt in the Jungle
The Naked and the Dead.
The lost treasure of Monteverde.. an Indiana Jones, action-adventure type movie that takes place in the Monteverde Cloud Forest in Costa Rica.
I recommend The Legend of Tarzan, the latest cinematic retelling of this mythic jungle figure.
A war movie or something like African Queen
Amazon Queen, Anaconda, Romancing the Stone, Six days Seven nights,
Just Swinging Through a Tarzan remake with female protagonist
Call it, Deep into The Jungle!
“Hunter or Hunted”
“Ghost of the Amazon”
“Rumble in the Jungle”
“The Vines”
“Hot Chills”
Jungle Exile-maybe about a panther shifter who fell for a human
Riding the Amazon rapids
Highlander and the Leopard’s Spot – kind of Indiana Jones type movie.
For a movie they’re filming in your book I’m thinking the movie title should be “Quest for the Ivory Sword”. It’s an Indiana Jones type movie where a dealer in antiquities is searching for the legendary Ivory Sword. After a search across 3 continents he finally finds the temple of the blind monks, the guardians of the Ivory Sword. Is the sword real? Yes,it’s hanging from a chain in the chamber of light. The problem: it’s hovering above the pit of death. Will Dr. Roberts be able to retrieve the sword or will he fall to his death into the lava below? Find out when “Quest for the Ivory Sword” is released. This would be the summary of the movie’s plot. Hope you like this title Amy.
