Now my inbox is going to be filled with people sending me this card. Then again, they probably forgot I even blogged, which means I won’t even get those dozens of cards. Sigh…back to the water cooler. 0 likes Reply Amy Vansant February 15, 2012 Well obviously no one will use this on YOU. 🙂 0 likes Reply Lance February 15, 2012 I accept your apology. Now go read my blog and my first article for sprocketink, you lazy bum. also, great 80s hair on the book of faces. Good work. 0 likes Reply Amy Vansant February 15, 2012 That damn 80s pic has been there for like 3 years and all of a sudden everyone finds it. Yeesh. I put it there to teach me humility but it worked way too well… 🙂 0 likes Reply iampisspot February 15, 2012 LOVE this. I get so frickin’ stressed about not having the time to read every goddamn blog I like. am sure there is an actual anxiety-disorder related to this, no? 🙂 ps: And yes, the 80’s hair pic on Facebook KICKED ASS! 0 likes Reply Amy Vansant February 15, 2012 Oh great, another person that saw that. Fantastic. 🙂 I don’t know if there is a name for that anxiety, but I definitely have it!! 0 likes Reply Jen Has A Pen February 16, 2012 A blogger’s life is so difficult. 😉 I whine about this to the homeless people I see on the streets and they totally feel me. Why do we do this to ourselves? The guilt is bullshit. And, I blame my genetics. I’m a super slow reader and bad multi-tasker. Thank GAWD I have killer dance moves or else I’d be a total waste of space. LOVE that your lab is scared of dachshunds. 🙂 Make me love your lab immensely. I love a big dog that feels teensy at heart. 🙂 0 likes Reply Amy Vansant February 16, 2012 I’ve never met a teensy dog without a big heart! By posting this I had to make sure that I read EVERYONE’S blog this week so they didn’t think I meant them. I just made myself more work! 0 likes Reply bschooled February 17, 2012 The best part about this is with a little tweaking, it can apply to the pictures that your friends have posted of their kids on Facebook, incessant yet boring Twitter updates, anything, really! 0 likes Reply Jen February 17, 2012 There are too many blogs. I’m continually upset that virtually no one reads my blog and then complain that people are wasting their time with other poorly written blogs. It’s just wrong. It just occurred to me that maybe why I don’t have loads of readers is because my blog sucks more. Now I’m totally depressed. 0 likes Reply Amy Vansant February 17, 2012 I have see TERRIBLE blogs with tons of readers/comments. I have see FABULOUS blogs go totally ignored. One good fart joke going viral can turn your blog into an overnight sensation. 5 years of amazing full length articles can make you pariah. If all you want is traffic, start making more poop jokes. If you want to make money as a writer, start submitting articles to paying markets. If what you want to do is write stuff you’re proud of, write stuff you’re proud of and F everyone else. Sorry to use your comment as a soap box but I’m tired of quality people/writers/etc not getting everything they should. 🙂 0 likes Reply Ashley Taylor February 19, 2012 Love this so much. Because seriously, there are SO many good blogs out there. You know what we would be like the best ever, getting paid to write blogs AND to read them. In my pajamas. All day long. While someone else cleaned my house and did my cooking. That would be awesome. Alas, I still live here on planet earth where that is just not possible, so as my good girlfriend says, I do the best I can and it is better than average. 🙂 Ashley http://www.thedoseofreality.com/2011/06/10/my-go-big-or-go-home-confessions/ 0 likes Reply Stacey February 19, 2012 This is why I blog only once a week or so. I don’t want to overwhelm my cherished readers. (Or I’m lazy. One of those.) 0 likes Reply My Inner Chick February 20, 2012 —Not only reading blogs, but then commenting…. it’s just too much, unless of course, you are Alison- from “Mommy Wants This.” My God, that girl is EVERYWHERE! Anyhow, I get it. It’s Too Much damn work. 0 likes Reply Rob R February 21, 2012 I have one subscriber to my blog who constantly asks me if I read hers. The problem is, her blog flat out sucks and I don’t have the heart to tell her. But thanks to your e-card, I don’t have to now! So glad I stopped by! 0 likes Reply Amy Vansant February 22, 2012 I will take from your comment that my blog is the most wonderfullest in all the land! And now I’ll start reading yours. Dammit. This culling of my blog reading is really not working at all… 0 likes Reply OKinUK February 23, 2012 I really, really appreciate that someone else thinks like I do. It’s like we’re back in third grade and writing, “Dear Dairy (sic), I’m sorry I haven’t written in you for so long, but guess what? Bill Timmons said he likes me!” 0 likes Reply Leave a Reply to Abby Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.CommentName* Email* Website Add me to Amy Vansant's Humor Newsletter!
